The intention to eat healthier and more balanced is not always possible given our hectic lifestyle. Consumers want healthy and ready-meals that they can eat everywhere, both at work and for example after a visit to the gym.
For that reason, the Spanish agricultural enterprise Agricola Villena brought carrot sticks, a healthy vegetable snack, to the market. For the launch of this product, the company was looking for a package that would strengthen the freshness of the product and at the same time retain the organoleptic characteristics of the carrots. In cooperation with ITC Packaging and Verstraete IML, Agricola Villena achieved MyPack, a packaging that uses the Ultra Clear technology for the first time.
‘The cup has a clarifier. This provides an even greater transparency and is enhanced by the ultra transparent IML decoration’, says Alexis Moreno, Account Manager ITC Packaging.
Benedict Adins, Regional Sales Manager Verstraete IML for southern Europe, explains: ‘SuperClear IML offers brand owners the ability to create a crystal clear label which allows the consumer to in fact look directly through the packaging to see the actual product. We can achieve the illusion of a “floating” label by only printing the upper half of the label. That would be a great challenge – or even impossible – with a standard white IML label.’
According to the producers, this IML label is fully recyclable, prevents food waste and ensures protection of the product.
