Packaging Innovation Award voor Zip-Pop bag

De samenwerking tussen verpakkingsmachine fabrikant Schur Star Systems en Potandon Produce, een Noord-Amerikaanse aardappelleverancier, heeft geresulteerd in een unieke zakconstructie genaamd Schur Star Zip-Pop bag. Hiermee kunnen in één stap geselecteerde magnetron mini-aardappelen, gekruid in de zak, worden bereid.

‘Met deze revolutionaire Zip-Pop Bag is men in staat snel en eenvoudig voor het hele gezin te koken. De aardappelen en de boter puck kruiden worden afzonderlijk opgeslagen in een zak met twee vakken. De stoomstrip in de zak samen met het speciale samengestelde materiaal biedt een langere houdbaarheid en is tegelijkertijd het kenmerk dat de zak zo bijzonder maakt’, zegt Hans Schur, ceo bij Schur Star Systems.

De Zip-Pop Bag werd onlangs uitgeroepen tot winnaar van de Packaging Innovation Award tijdens de CPMA Convention & Trade Show 2019 in Montreal.

The cooperation between Schur Star Systems and Potandon Produce, a North American potato supplier, has resulted in a unique bag construction called Schur Star Zip-Pop bag. With this bag, selected microwavable mini potaties, seasoned in the bag, can now be prepared in one step.

‘With this revolutionary Zip-Pop bag one is capable to cook quick and easy for the whole family. The potatoes and butter puck seasoning are stored separately in a dual chamber bag. The steam strip in the bag along with the specially formulated material provides extended shelf life and is at the same time the feature that makes the bag unlike anything else on the market’, says Hans Schur, CEO at Schur Star Systems.
