In 2004 ontwikkelde het Franse bedrijf Packalim voor een producent van vleesproducten een unieke verpakking. Dit unieke MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) verpakkingsconcept bleef om wat voor reden dan ook lang bewaard voor deze klant. Sinds kort maakt Packalim deel uit van de P. van de Velde Group in België en wordt de verpakking nu door het bedrijf op de markt geïntroduceerd.
Combipack is een samengestelde verpakking en bestaat uit een duplex kartonnen buitenzijde en een dunne film van kunststof die luchtdicht verpakken mogelijk maakt. In vergelijking tot de klassieke MAP verpakkingen is het kunststofaandeel van de verpakking nog maar 20%. Het kunststof is eenvoudig te scheiden van het karton, licht de onderneming toe.
Drie soorten
Er zijn drie varianten van de Combipack.
Classicpack is de basisvorm. De combipack wordt gevuld met salades, maaltijden of vleessnacks en de verpakking wordt met een sealbaar deksel luchtdicht afgesloten.
Nomabox bevat een afgeschermde ruimte om bijvoorbeeld een lepeltje of een andere accessoire mee te leveren.
Doublepack wordt geleverd in de vorm van een zogenaamde hamburgerverpakking. De consument kan de double pack met product en al in de magnetron bereiden. Een zogenaamd suspector plaatje zorgt voor een krokant laagje om het product ondanks de bereiding in de magnetron.

Combipack is a composite packaging and consists of a duplex cardboard outside and a thin film of plastic, which makes airtight packaging possible. Compared to classic MAP packaging, the plastic part of the packaging is only 20%. The plastic part is easy to separate from the cardboard, explains the enterprise.
Three types
There are three variants of the Combipack.
Classicpack is the basic form. The combipack is filled with salads, meals or meat snacks and the packaging will be closed airtight with a sealable lid.
Nomabox contains a shielded space to deliver, for example, a spoon or another accessory.
Doublepack is provided in the form of a so-called hamburger packaging. The consumer can prepare the doublepack with the product and all in the microwave. A so-called suspector plate provides a crispy layer around the product despite the preparation in the microwave.
