RPC M&H Plastics is tijdens de recente Plastic Industry Awards beloond met het Best Recycled Plastic Product of the Year Award met haar unieke, slanke wijnfles.
De fles is vervaardigd van 100% gerecycled PET en bestemd voor de mail-order markt. Het flesontwerp, geproduceerd door Garçon Wines, voldoet aan de traditionele vorm van de Bordeaux wijnfles, maar het platte profiel zorgt ervoor dat het veilig en gemakkelijk door een standaard brievenbus past.
Koolstof-uitstoot
De fles is 87% lichter en 40% ruimtelijk kleiner dan een gebruikelijke wijnfles en het feit dat een brievenbus geen gemiste leveringen garandeert, vermindert het ook de uitstoot van koolstof uit de leveringsketen van wijn, claimt RPC M&H Plastics.

The bottle is manufactured from 100% recycled PET and intended for mail-order market. The bottle design, produced by Garçon Wines, meets the traditional form of the Bordeaux wine bottle, but its flat profile ensures it is able to fit securely and conveniently through a standard sized letterbox.
Carbon emissions
The bottle is 87% lighter and 40% spatially smaller than a usual wine bottle and the fact that a mail box ensures no missed deliveries, it also reduces the carbon emissions from the supply chain of wine, RPC M&H Plastics claims.
